Murray Equipment, Inc. is seeking a qualified individual for a career opportunity in meter assembly. This person will operate various equipment and hand tools on 3rd shift for our Total Control Systems (TCS) division. This person will be a dedicated team player, responsible for the efficient assembly and testing of quality components and finished goods meeting all production requirements. Successful candidates will be motivated, self-directed/ self-starters, mechanically inclined, and well organized. A successful person is detail-oriented and dependable, can follow instructions and consistently produce good work.

3rd shift receives an extra $2.50/hr. shift premium and works FOUR 10-HR DAYS! Monday evening - Friday morning. Hours are 9:00pm- 7:30am

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

(Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Receives written and/or verbal instructions  
  • Selects the parts necessary to assemble into the required component or finished good  
  • Assembles them into a completed unit.  
  • Records time and materials used in a prompt and accurate manner.  
  • Records scrap materials using established procedures.  
  • Maintains a safe and orderly work area.  
  • Tests the unit to assure that it operates in accordance with customer requirements following assembly,  
  • Consults with Supervision, Assembler 1 and Assembler 3 production personnel to identify quality problems and resolve production issues as necessary.  
  • Trains other assemblers and/or probation assemblers upon request.  
  • Judges the quality of the product that they complete. 
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.  
  • Prior work-related experience required. 
 
 

Physical Requirements:

  • Manually lifting up to 75 pounds.  
  • Use of written and oral communication.  
  • Capable of standing/walking more than 80% of work time.  
  • 100% of working time (except for assigned breaks) is spent on the production floor.
